AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at the University Hospital, Mrs. Rebecca C. Knox wife of Dea. C.E. Knox known as the eggman, T.V. Man and Skinny. Mrs. Knox, a long time resident of Sharon Road, was the daughter of the late Essie Carter and Nancy Garrett Carter. She was born March 1, 1925. She was a homemaker and a member of Sharon Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Auntie was always willing to give all her love to those who needed it. Everyone has been touched by her love. Roman 10:9 and 10. Survivors include her husband, Dea. C.E. Knox; brother, Milton (Bo Jack) Carter; sister, Mrs. Nellie Pearl Carter, Augusta; God sons, Patrick G. Johnson, and the late Jimmy Johnson; God daughters, Renee L. Booker, Juliette Carter Kirk, and Gracie Lee Johnson; daughter- in-law, Ms. Michelle Johnson; favorite nieces, Mrs. Cathrine Stokes, Mrs. Frances Jones; dearest friends, Irene Carwell, Cathrine Crawford, Lucille Paterson, and Sue Harwick along with a host of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren all of Augusta. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at 1 p.m. from Dents Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Walker Memorial Park. Friends may call at the residence or the funeral home.
