BELVEDERE, S.C. - Miss Dana Ann Dimsdale, 14, of Serpentine Drive, entered into rest Sunday, July 7, 2002 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2002, from Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Coyle and Rev. Jake Griffis officiating. Interment will be private. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Immanuel Baptist Church Youth Group. Dana was born in Augusta, Ga. She was a student at North High School, and had served on the Student Council. Dana was on the Childrens Art Council at the Medical College of Georgia, and was an active volunteer for the Relay for Life. Dana was an active member at Immanuel Baptist Church and the Youth Group. Survivors include her parents, Sandra Lynn Dimsdale of Belvedere and Eddie Turner of Graniteville; maternal grandfather, Charles Lee Dimsdale of Belvedere, maternal great-grandmother, Lucille Hughes of Clearwater; two aunts, Deb Schmidt of Belvedere and Donna Dimsdale of North Augusta; an uncle, Mike Dimsdale of North Augusta; great-aunt, Mary Bartley of Clearwater. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. or friends may call at the residence. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, South Carolina Chapter 1247 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, S.C. 29063 or to Immanuel Baptist Church Youth Program, 615 Old Edgefield Road, North Augusta, S.C. 29841.
