Activities and entertainment events scheduled for today include:

WINE TASTING: Summerville Ace package shop will hold a wine tasting from 7 to 9 p.m. at Smoak's Bakery and Catering, 2058 Walton Way. The tasting is free and open to the public. For more information, call 733-7787.

BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN PLANS: The Augusta-Richmond County Planning Commission and the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the urbanized areas of Richmond, Columbia and Aiken counties are updating the regional bicycle plan to guide future bicycle and pedestrian investments. They want the public's input. Meetings are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at the Aiken Municipal Building on Park Avenue Southwest and for 6:30 p.m. at the Augusta-Richmond County Municipal Building. DUSK WALK: The Southeastern Natural Science Academy's Phinizy Swamp Nature Park will hold a dusk walk from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the park. Bring your family and a precooked dinner to the park's Pharmacia Pavilion to enjoy an evening in nature. The pavilion opens for dinner at 6 p.m., and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. The topic is aquatic bugs. Admission is free, and reservations are not necessary. For more information, call 821-2109.
