LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Sally Wright Jordan, age 94, of East Eighth Street, Louisville, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at her residence. She was the widow of William K. Jordan, Sr., and the daughter of the late Adam Clarke and Jessika Atherton Wright. She was retired as a clerk from the Jefferson County Court House, a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, a member of John Franklin Wren Chapter NSDAR, Magna Carta Dames, and Louisville Garden Club. She was a graduate of Mary Baldwin College. Survivors include three stepsons, William K. Jordan, Jr. of White Oak, S.C., Paxton H. Jordan of Dadeville, Ala., and Andrew Jordan of Corodova, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Marjorie Lee of Albany and Eugenia Chappell of Charleston, S.C.; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Betty Smith of Vidette. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2002, at the Louisville City Cemetery, with Rev. Michael Hendrix officiating. The family is at the residence and will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Louisville Chapel, Louisville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph Hospice, Augusta, or Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church in Louisville.
