WARRENTON, Ga.- Mrs. Aster Edenfield Dent, age 88, of Beall Springs Street,Warrenton, beloved wife of the late Bartow Dent, entered into rest Thursday, June 27, 2002, at her daughters residence, Thomson. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002, at First Baptist Church, Warrenton, with Rev. Rob Bray officiating. Mrs. Dent will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson. Mrs. Dent was born August 20, 1913, in Irwin County. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Laura Lee Sunday School class and the First Baptist Church of Warrenton. Survivors include one son William B Dent, Crosby, Texas; five daughters,Helen D. Daniels, Augusta, Betty D. Mayo, Martinez, Barbara D. Pasco, Mesquite, Nev., Dianne D. Wood, Thomson and Judy L. Dent, Sandersville. Additional survivors include her sister Diantha E. Pirtle, Tutusville, Fla.; 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Louise D. Rodine and Glenda D. Johnson and a grandson Thomas Alton Wood III. Pallbearers will be grandsons Randy Axlesen, Michael Dent, Mike Daniels, Richard Mayo, Glenn Daniels, and Rusty Chalker. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Laura Lee Sunday School class. The family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wood, 3169 Creekside Drive, Thomson or from 7 to 9p.m. Friday at Lowe Funeral Home.
