SILVER SPRING, Md. - Entered into rest Sunday, June 23, 2002, in Silver Spring, Rev. Robert Cunning ham of Silver Spring. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2002, at 2 p.m., at McElmurray Spring Branch Baptist Church, Burke County, with Apostle Leonard Mole officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was a native of Burke County, employed at Cape Kennedy Space Center and later a building contractor. He was a member of McElmurray Spring Branch Baptist Church and associate pastor of the Greater People Union Baptist Church, Washington, D.C. Survivors are his wife, Barbara Cunningham, Silver Springs; one daughter, Joyce (Bernard) Williams St. Petersburg, Fla.; three sons, Arthur James Boggins, Harlem, N.Y., Robert Cunningham Jr. , St. Petersburg, Fla., Donnell Cunningham, Silver Spring; mother, Josephine Cunningham, Augusta; five brothers, Wright Cunningham, Jobie Cunningham, St. Petersburg, Fla., Nathan Cunningham, Hephzibah, Melvin Cunningham, Washington, D.C., Frank Cunningham, Augusta; five sisters, Bertha Knight, St. Petersburg, Fla., Elease Harris, Augusta, Jonelle Johnson, Hephzibah, Mary Cody, Augusta, Wihelmina Easley, Hephzibah; several grandchildren; and a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives.
