Mr. Otis Gardenhire (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, June 23, 2002, at his residence. Mr. Otis Gardenhire of Murphy Street. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 27, 2002, at 1p.m. at Laura Grove Baptist Church, Clarks Hill, with Rev. Paul H. Bush officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was a native of McCormick County, a member of Laura Grove Baptist Church where he was a member of the Senior Choir, he was employed at Mancraft, Newark, N.J. Survivors are his wife, Louise Gardenhire; three sons, Eugene Gardenhire, Augusta, Michael Gardenhire, Clifton, N.J., Pete Gardenhire, Seattle Wash; two daughters, Brenda Ruffin, Edna Mills, Manhattan, N.Y.; two sisters, Viola Seymore, Augusta, Verdell Sullivan, North Augusta; five brothers, Thomas Gardenhire, North Augusta, Wyatt Gardenhire, Willie Gardenhire, Clarks Hill, S.C., James Gardenhire, Augusta, Lonnie Gardenhire, Brooklyn, N.Y.; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home this evening from 7 to 8p.m. Williams Funeral Home, 1765 M.L. King Jr., Boulevard.
