AIKEN, S.C. - Mrs. Esther Marie Dease Cliatt, 46, passed away Monday, June 24, 2002, at her home. She was born May 14, 1956, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Roy and Dorothy Phillips Dease and was the wife of Benjamin Hogan Cliatt. She was a member of the Church of Christ on Dibble Road, Aiken. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2002, at 3 p.m., from the Oak Ridge Baptist Church, by the Mr. Dan Star. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Cliatt is survived by her husband, Benjamin Hogan Cliatt of Jackson; two sons, Benjamin David Cliatt of Aiken and Brandon Hogan Cliatt of Jackson; two daughters, Amy Marie Cliatt of Charleston and Melissa Ann Cross of Florence; a brother, Thomas Harvey Dease of Millington, Tenn.; three sisters, Mrs. Glen (Linda) Bowers of Kershaw, Mrs. John (Mary) Cliatt of Mill Spring, N.C. and Mrs. Charles (Arlene) Young of Kershaw; and was preceded in death by a sister, Reba D. Holden. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of one choice. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at the Cauthen Funeral Home, Kershaw Chapel.
