The 2002 Georgia Music Talent Search is offering a high school musician or singer a $1,000 scholarship and a chance to perform at the 24th annual Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards in September.

Contestants must be age 15-18, a high school student and a Georgia resident. Only single performers may enter, but all types of music are accepted, including pop, contemporary, rock, rap, country, gospel, jazz, blues and classical. The deadline is July 15.

Contestants should send two audio cassette tapes to Entertainment Resource Services Inc., P.O. Box 1469, Tucker, GA 30085. Include name, address, phone number, a resume and a photo, if one is available. Tapes and photos will not be returned.

The contest is sponsored by Friends of the Georgia Music Festival Inc.
