Mrs. Hiawatha Youmans (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday, June 22, 2002, at the University Hospital. Mrs. Hiawatha Meyer Youmans, of Sullivan Road. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at 2p.m., at First Mount Moriah Baptist Church, with Rev. Andrew Johnson, officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park. Mrs. Youmans was a native of Barnwell Co., S.C., a member of First Mount Moriah Baptist Church where she served on the Deaconess Board, Missionary Society and Sunday School Department. She was a member of the Prince Hall Masonic. A lifetime member of Stolkin Court #173. Daughteer of Isis of Augusta, Ga. Survivors are devoted step-son, Charles Youmans, Augusta; five step-daughters,; two brothers, Rhayford Meyer, Augusta, Arthur Meyer, Washington, D.C.; five sisters, Burlese Beck, Elizabeth Burton, Augusta, Susie Adams, New York, Grover Dunbar, Adell Peeples, Detroit, Mich.; one aunt, Laura Meyer, Barnwell; a devoted niece, Shirley Blocker, Augusta; other nieces, nephews and relatives.
