AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, June 23, 2002, at the V.A. Hospital, Mr. Edward Solt Sr., 54, of Tudor Drive, husband of Mrs. Betty Solt. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home, Augusta. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Annie Brown, Debbie Weaver, Cora Howard, Patricia MaGee, Barbara Paige and Katie Adams. Survivors include his wife, Betty Solt; his children, Betty Elaine Solt Bragg, Edward Lee Solt Jr., Kenneth Lee Solt, Leonard Wade Solt; his son-in-law, Markus James Sanders; his daughter-in-law, Misty Mishel Solt; his brother, Wayne Bryant Davis; his sister, Theresa Davis- Riffe; his grandchildren, Edward Lee Solt III, Kenneth Eugene Bragg, Joshua Nathanial Bragg, Ashley Nicole Bragg, Samuel Wade Solt, Amber Nicole Johnston, Jamie Lynn Sanders and Brittany Marie Sanders; his nieces and nephews, Michelle Lynn Bouton, Phillip Anthony Riffe, Hannah Mae Riffe, Nicholas Wayne Zulick and Rayden Alexander Bouton. Mr. Solt was born in Augusta to Walter and Verna Turner. He worked at Kings Mill for 23 years. He served in the Vietnam war where he earned the following medals, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with twoBronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 1960, Combat Infantryman Badge, two O/S Bars, First Class Gunner, Marksman and Sharpshooter. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 until 8p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home, Augusta, Ga.
