WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Angels rejoiced on June 22, 2002, at 11:22p.m., when Pauline Adaline Masters, age 90, graduated from earth to eternal life in Heaven. She was received by Our Lord after an extended illness. She passed away at home with her daughter, her grandchildren, and their families at her side. Her funeral service will be held at 11a.m., Wednesday, at Little Swamp United Methodist Church, with Rev. Doug Marchant, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home. Mrs. Masters was born on January 12, 1912, and was raised in Little Swamp community. She married Bruce Masters in 1935 and together they raised their daughter, Viola Masters, in Warrenville. She retired in 1978 after 35 years as a textile worker. She was a member of Little Swamp United Methodist Church. Her memories will be cherished by her daughter, Viola Haywood of Warrenville; two grandchildren, Cindy Bhatia of Atlanta and her husband, Manoj Bhatia, Jimmy Haywood Jr., of Athens, Ala., and his wife, Sonia Haywood; five great-grandchildren, Michael Bhatia, Christina Bhatia, Jessica Haywood, Joshua Haywood, and Sean Haywood; and a sister, Ada Beach of Augusta. She was preceded in death by her husband. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8p.m., Tuesday, at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home.
