AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mrs. Suzanne Paine Collins, age 60, beloved wife and mother, entered into eternal rest Monday, June 17, 2002, at the family residence. A memorial service will be held today, at 11a.m., at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair Street Chapel, with Dr. Jeffrey L. Newlin and Dr. G. Daniel McCall, Pastor Emeritus, officiating. Private interment services will be Saturday, June 22, 2002, at 10:30a.m., at The First Christian Church in Valdosta. She was a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Augusta Junior League. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Joe Houser Collins; daughters, Tamara Collins Hunt of Charleston, Cynthia Houser Collins and Catherine Dalton Collins of Augusta; her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Dalton Paine, Valdosta, John and Gloria Sorenson, Valdosta; sisters Dorothy Paine Youngblood of Montana and Virginia Paine Anderson of Athens; brothers, Travers White Paine III, of Augusta, and William Ferrell Paine of Hendersonville, N.C.; and one granddaughter, Catherine Collins Hunt; along with many family members that will always love her. She was preceded in death by her father, Travers White Paine Jr., of Valdosta. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2261 Walton Way, Augusta, Ga., 30904.
