Fishing tournament news

Fax number: (706) 823-3408. Tournament reports must include first and last names of the participants, total numbers of fish caught and total weight of the catch.

Garden City Bassmasters Individual Tournament June 1, Little River Marina

Entry fee of $50 includes big fish. Five-fish limit and Clark Hill Association rules apply. Payback 80 percent, with one place per every 10 boats. Non-boaters can enter and fish with boaters. Safe light until 3:30 p.m.

Saturday Morning Get Together Wildwood Park Ramp Ron Weber reporting

Bob Becton and Trey Becton, seven bass, 19.71 pounds. Thurston Hall and Buddy Grimes, seven bass, 19.04 pounds. Edward Jones and Bubba Jones, seven bass, 18.55 pounds. Anglers' Choice Georgia Team Tournament Trail

Palmetto State Team Trail Bass Circuit

Based on a maximum 150-boat field, first place is a fully rigged Triton bass boat, 150-hp Mercury outboard. Second place is $5,000 cash. Payout through 25 places. Boat and six places guaranteed with 75 teams. Tournament hours safe light until 3 p.m. $300 entry fee per team, with a $25 membership fee per person. Tournament hours: Each event begins with a mandatory attendance meeting at 6 a.m., and competition starts after the meeting or at safe light, with weigh-in at 3 p.m. Guaranteed first place (based on minimum of 50 boats) $1,000.
