AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. George H. Davis of Fleetwood Drive, North Augusta, entered into rest Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Anne Maria Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2002, at 11a.m. at Westover Memorial Park, with Chaplain Joe Lusk officiating. After retiring from the U.S. Army and the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Mr. Davis served as a volunteer at the Veterans Administration Medical Center for 37 years working a total of 46,888 hours. He was a member of Greene Street Presbyterian Church and in 1999, was named Deacon Emeritus. Mr. Davis is survived by his two nieces, Betty Harley, Summit Station, Pa., and Florence Hardy, Festerville, Pa.; and also his extended family, Bill and Brenda Corley and family. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Administration Voluntary Services, 119-U, One Freedom Way, Augusta, GA, 30904.
