Mr. William Berry (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga.- Entered into rest Wednesday, May 15, 2002, S/SGT. William P. Berry, U.S. Army, retired. The widower of the late Mrs. Clara Mae Green Berry. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2002, at 11a.m., at the Poteet Funeral Home South Chapel. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military honors accorded at the grave. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 7 to 9p.m. Survivors are one son, Tommy L. Berry, of North Augusta; one daughter, Susan Lebouef, of Stone Mountain; one brother, Clifford Berry of Edgefield; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Mr. Berry was born in Newberry, S.C. He was a retired Marine and Army veteran of 30 years of service, serving in Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a member of Fleming Masonic Lodge #718. F and AM. He was a member of Windsor Spring Baptist Church. He was also retired with the State of Georgia Visitors Center.
