WINDSOR, S.C. - Mr. Elbert "Jake" Holston, entered into rest May 13, 2002, at the Aiken Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be Friday, May 17, 2002, at 3 p.m., at the Summer Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Williston, with the Reverend Freddie Lee Bush, Reverend Troy Toney, Reverend Sheldonia Brown and Reverend Harry Holston Jr. officiating. Burial will be at the Thankful Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. He was a member of the Thankful Grove Baptist Church where he was a deacon. The body will be placed in the church on e hour before the service. Survivors are Mrs. Neomie Wright Holston; six sons, Harry (Ruth) Holston, Robert (Louise) Holston, both of Windsor, Roosevelt (Emma) Holston, Long Island, N.Y., Elbert (Mary) Holston, Williston, Wyman Holston, Columbia, James (Carol) Holston, Manhattan, N.Y.; five daughters, Elma Copeland, Dorris (Curtis) Brown, Lugene Holston, Vivian Holston and Ellen Twiggs all of Aiken; 35 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
