Rev. Ola Corley (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Rev. Ola Louise Harden, Corley, (Lewis, Davidson), beloved wife of Mr. Marvin C. Davidson of Augusta, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 16, 2002, at 4p.m. at Bible Deliverance Temple with Dr. H.K. McKnight and Dr. Jessie Wiggins officiating. The burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. A native of Augusta, Rev. Corley was a retired minister and was ordained by the Church of God. As an evangelist, she held numerous revivals throughout Eastern United States. She founded and pastored four churches and served on the mission field in Haiti and Aba, Eastern Niagara. Additional survivors include her son, J.T. Corley Jr. of Augusta; three daughters, Margaret McKnight of Augusta, Jean Rhodes of Belvedere, S.C. and Rachel Wiggins of Bethalto, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, Bobby Corley of Floral City, Fla., Michelle Rose and Joe Wiggins of East Alton, Ill, Cindy Brinson of Harlem, Donna Bailey of Washington, Sharon OConnor of Greenville, S.C., Bobby Corley of Hephzibah, Sherry Bailey, Kelly McKnight, Debra Rankin and Gerald Shirey of Augusta and 24 great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Bible Deliverance Temple, 1857 Fenwick Street, Augusta, GA 30904. Rev. Corley will lie in state in the church one hour prior to the service. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers and are asked to assemble at the church by 2:45 p.m. Platts Funeral Home, 721 Crawford Avenue, Augusta, Ga.
