Mr. Malcom Prosser (SANDERSVILLE, Ga.)



SANDERSVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Malcom Prosser, age 75, of Riddleville Road, Sandersville, died Monday night, May 6, at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 9 in the Sisters Baptist Church in Sandersville. The Rev. Keith Yelverton will officiate with burial in the Sisters Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Prosser was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the son of the late Harvey Benion Prosser and the late Mattie Brooks Prosser. He was a quality lab manager for ECCI Kaolin Company. Mr. Prosser was an army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Sisters Baptist Church and was ordained as a Deacon of Sisters Baptist Church in 1972. He was a member of the Sisters Church Choir, the Sisters Mens Brotherhood, a Sunday school teacher in the Youth Department and was on the Building Committee. Mr. Prosser was an active member of Gideons International. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Horton Prosser of Sandersville; a son, Steven Malcom Prosser of Sandersville; two grandchildren, Joshua Steven Prosser and Benjamin Nathaniel Prosser; daughter-in-law, Marie Lawrence Prosser; a brother, Alton Prosser of Sandersville; two sisters, Reunette P. Robinson of Dublin, Calif. and Martha P. Barron of Homestead, Fla. and several nieces and nephews. May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements. The family will be at the Prosser residence, 415 Riddleville Road, in Sandersville and will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday evening. The family suggest that donations may be made to the Gideons International or the American Cancer Society
