BAXLEY, Ga. - Mrs. Carrie Deen Vaughn, 92, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2002, in the Appling Health Care System, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 6, 2002, at 4p.m. from the Hopewell United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Deen Cemetery. The body will be carried to the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Morris of Baxley; five granddaugters, Deborah M. Sellers, of Baxley, Eva M. Hickman of Brooklet, Beth M. Dowden of Statesboro, Lynn M. Morris of Chicago, Ill., and Jean F. Wilkes of Augusta; three grandsons, Henry C. Morris and Calvin Morris, both of Baxley and Alan Hugh Faircloth of Augusta; 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Mrs. Vaughn was a lifelong resident of Appling County, she was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church where she was a charter member of the Hopewell Untied Methodist Women.
