NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Laura Hankinson Bradham, 100, of Talisman Drive, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at University Hospital, Augusta, Ga. She was a former resident of Green Street, New Ellenton, and a current resident of Anne Maria Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, North Augusta. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Runs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Beech Island, with Rev. C.W. Phinizy officiating. Mrs. Bradham, a native of Barnwell County, was a member of Runs Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a former employee of Lees Banana Case Company, Old Ellenton. In 1950, she relocated from Old Ellenton to New Ellenton. She was known for visiting with various area churches before her health began to fail. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bradham; one son, Frank Turner; her parents, Eddie Hankinson and Annie Mays Hankinson and five siblings. She will forever remain in the hearts of her loving family and the New Ellenton Community and to the many wonderful friends that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her loving and tender memory six grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Hankinson, Augusta; one sister-in-law, Lorene Hankinson, Syracuse, N.Y.; one devoted niece, Beulah H. Bell, Aiken; and a host of other loving relatives and and grieving friends. The family will be receive friends at the residence of her niece, Beulah H. Bell, 108 Palisades Drive, Aiken.
