The Ron Mathis letter on Thursday, ("Needs new material") requesting editorial cartoonist Rick McKee to find new material prompts me to write in praise of his work.
I daily read the editorial cartoons of such Pulitzer Prize winners as Ann Telnaes, Walt Handelsman, Joel Pett, and David Horsey.
Yet I often find Mr. McKee's work as worthy as theirs. While I might disagree ideologically with his position, I still find his ability to capture a position in a single frame to be brilliant.
For evidence, look at his cartoons for Feb. 22 and 28, and March 1 of this year.
