Activities and entertainment events scheduled for today include:

TODAY DERBY DAY: The Augusta Riding Center will sponsor Derby Day from 3 to 7 p.m. at the center, 1403 Flowing Wells Road. The event will feature a catered barbecue by Mot's Pit Cooked Barbecue, horse betting, raffles and live music by Patrick Blanchard, Air Apparent and the Southland Quartet. Tickets cost $30, and proceeds will benefit the Augusta Training Shop for the Handicapped.

PLANT SWAP AND SALE: The Fifth Annual Plant Swap and Sale will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pendleton King Park Pavilion, 1600 Troupe St. Participants can buy, sell or trade plants and other garden items. Master gardeners will be available to answer questions. Admission is free. For more information, call 738-4321.

WALK-FOR-LIFE: The Augusta Care Pregnancy Center's Walk-for-Life will be at 9 a.m. at Riverwalk Augusta. Registration for the walk begins at 8:30 a.m. The event will feature live music, entertainment and refreshments. For more information, call 724-5531.

STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL: Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church will hold its 16th Annual Strawberry Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church's annex, 859 Old Edgefield Road in North Augusta. The festival will feature children's games, hot-air balloon rides and a raffle for a $500 cash prize. If it rains, the festival will be rescheduled. For more information, call 279-8396.

BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL: The 15th annual Lewis Family Annual Homecoming and Bluegrass Festival will be at Elijah Clark State Park on Highway 378 in Lincolnton. Admission before 6 p.m. costs $25; after 6 it costs $15. Children ages 6-13 will be admitted for $12, and children younger than 6 will be admitted for free.
