AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Dillie Rollen Jr., age 93, entered into rest on Thursday, April 11, 2002, in the University Hospital. The funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 15, 2002, at 11 a.m., from the Beulah Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Sam Davis officiating. The funeral procession will leave the residence at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Walker Memorial Park. He was a member of the Beulah Grove Baptist Church and retired from the Augusta Housing Authority. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Minnie Walker, Mrs. Ella Evans of Augusta, Mrs. Dorothy Palmer of California and Mrs. Lula J. Jennings of Thomson; two sons, Mr. Sidney Rollen and Mr. Dillie Bernard Rollen both of Augusta; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Frails, Mrs. Louise Williams, Ms. Frances Rollen and Mrs. Winnie Smith all of Harlem; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The body will lie in state at the church on Monday from 10 a.m., until the hour of services and will not be viewed afterward. Peoples Funeral Home, 706-724-1885.
