ATLANTA, Ga. - Entered into rest in Atlanta, April 7, 2002, Mr. Dennis McFadden, formerly of Augusta. Mr. McFadden was native of Richmond County, and a Navy veteran. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Johnnie Mae McFadden; a beloved son, Dennis (Lild) McFadden Jr.; a devoted companion of eighteen years, Ethel Jean Walker; five brothers, Pearcy Lee McFadden Jr., Johnny (Barbara) McFadden, Jimmy McFadden, William McFadden, Harrie Patrick (Annette) McFadden, Atlanta; four sisters, Mrs. Maxine (Adolphus) Gooden, Atlanta, Mrs. Anita (Henderson) Byrd, Atlanta, Debra Walker, Mrs. Carolyn (Bernard) Trailor, Atlanta;uncle, William Bostic; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, three special nieces, Renee, Nadine, Tange, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held today, Saturday, April 13, 2002, at 2 p.m. from Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Rev. Marvin McRae officiating. Interment will be in Southview. The funeral procession will leave 1916 First Ave. at 1:30 p.m. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. The Historic Dents Undertaking Establishment serving the CSRA since the 1800s.
