GIBSON, Ga. - M r. Erasmus E. "E.E." Griffin, 80, of Griffin Pond Road, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at the University Hospital, Augusta. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gibson First Baptist Church with the Dr. Gary Hadden officiating. Burial will be in the Gibson City Cemetery. Mr. Griffin was a native of Glascock County. He was a WW II Army veteran. He was a member of Gibson First Baptist Church. He served the Bank of Gibson for over 50 years and retired as president and chairman. He was a member of the Gibson Masonic Lodge #257. He was a former member of the Georgia House of Representatives for Glascock, County. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1942. Survivors include his three sons; Ronald Terry Griffin of Augusta, Skip Griffin of Warrenton, and Lee Griffin of Gibson; three grandchildren, Davis Griffin of Warrenton, Hannah Bolduc and Mary Katheran Griffin, both of Gibson. Pallbearers are Ronnie Hadden Ben Hadden, Eddie Miller, Wayne McDonald, O.W. Hodge and David Rabun. Honorary pallbearers are the Glascock County High School Class of 1938. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Georgia Special Olympics, 3772 Pleasantdale Road, Suite 195, Atlanta, GA., 30340.
