AIKEN - A Sunday argument led to a drive-by shooting Monday, police said.
Anthony Taylor, 33, of Jehossee Drive, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. at Pace's Run Apartments off Hampton Avenue.
The arrest came about 30 minutes after he allegedly fired at a car in Governor Aiken Park, a neighborhood off South Boundary Avenue.
No one was injured in the incident.
Witnesses reported the Sunday argument between two men, telling police it preceded the shooting.
Sgt. David Turno of the Aiken Department of Public Safety said Mr. Taylor went back to the scene of the argument, parked his Toyota Camry and exited the car.
He then fired a shotgun four times at a vehicle the other man was driving, the sergeant said.
One slug hit the front left quarter panel of the car, another hit a tree, and two other slugs were not found by police. Sgt. Turno said the driver and his passenger were not injured.
Sgt. Turno did not immediately identify the victims because he said a police report had not yet been filed by the officer in charge of the case.
An officer spotted Mr. Taylor putting a shotgun in a trash bin at Pace's Run after the shooting, Sgt. Turno said.
Mr. Taylor remained in the Aiken County Detention Center charged with assault and battery with intent to kill. He will face a bond hearing today.
