Mrs. Maudie Green (GSSH AUGUSTA, Ga.)



GSSH AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Maudie Victoria Powell Green, 66, of Byron Place, died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2002, at DeLoach Funeral Home chapel, Hephzibah with the Rev. Ronald R. Fearneyhough officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Green, a native and lifelong resident of Richmond County, retired as an LPN from Gracewood State School and Hospital after 30 years of service. She attended the Holiness Church. Survivors include one son, Gerald W. Holmes Jr., Augusta; two daughters, Judith Holmes Rogers, Hephzibah, Janice Holmes Seigler, Waynesboro; three brothers, James Burnon Powell, Matthews, Bobby Powell, Thomson, Wilbur Durrance, Hephzibah; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren. Pallbearers will be James May, Ben Fowler, Travis Seigler, Juston North, Jason Peacher, Mickey Seigler, J.B. Powell. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening at DeLoach Funeral Home, Inc., 2546 GA. Hwy 88, Hephzibah, GA.; (706) 592-5000.
