TODAY DISCIPLINE WORKSHOP: The Department of Continuing Education at USC Aiken will hold 1-2-3 Magic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Penland Administration Building, Room 110, on campus. The five-hour workshop will teach parents how to train and discipline children ages 2-12 without arguing, yelling or spanking. The cost of the class is $85 per person. SPRING FLING: The Martinez-Evans Rotary Club will hold its annual Spring Fling at 7 p.m. at Savannah Rapids Pavilion on Evans to Locks Road. The event will include heavy hors d'oeuvres, dancing, live and silent auctions and a cash bar. A grand prize of $1,000 will be won in a reverse raffle. Tickets cost $25. SUNDAY CHAMBER MUSIC: The Church of the Most Holy Trinity will hold a Baroque chamber orchestra concert at 4 p.m. Eleven members of the Augusta Symphony will accompany two harpsichordists, a flutist and a violinist. The concert is free and open to the public.
KEITH SHAFER AND VONDA DARR: Organist Keith Shafer and Harpist Vonda Darr will perform at 4 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, at Sixth and Reynolds streets. The performance will include joint and solo performances and the premiere of a new composition for harp and organ by American composer Charles Callahan.
DOG TRAINING CLASSES: The Aiken Dog Training Club will begin their first group of obedience classes at 1 p.m. The 1 p.m. class will be an intermediate level; a beginners class will begin at 2 p.m. The 10-week course costs $60. Registration will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the club's facility at 800 Banks Mill Road in Aiken. Written proof of an up-to-date rabies vaccination is required.
