AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mrs. Sallie Donaldson Amerson, age 82, entered into rest on Sunday, March 3, 2002 at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Road Chapel with Elder Max Hicks officiating. Interment Bellevue Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mrs. Amerson was born in McNairy, Tenn., and has spent the last 40 years in the Augusta area. She was a homemaker and First Primitive Baptist Church and the D.A.V. Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Amerson is survived by her two children, Judy Amerson of Augusta, Linda Amerson Hooks of Evans; her two brothers, Frank Donaldson of Morris Chapel, Tenn., Grady Donaldson of Adamsville, Tenn.; and her two grandchildren; Katie Hooks and Sarah Hooks. Pallbearers will be Joseph Meehan, Herman Kitchens, Enman Threatt, Edwin Groover, Bill Waters, Dave Hamilton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9.
