JACKSON, S.C. - Entered into rest Tuesday, February 19, 2002, at the University Hospital, Mrs. Eugenia Shipman of Old Jackson Hwy., Jackson. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 25, 2002, at noon at the Union Missionary Baptist Church, Barnwell, with Rev. Charlie W. Phinizy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a native of Barnwell and a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Missionary Society, Senior and Sanctuary Choirs. Survivors are her husband, Robert Shipman; three daughters, Jennie Mason, Gaithersburg, Md., Jacqueline Tinker, Stewartstown, Pa., Doretha Phillip, Grand Blanc, Mich.; five sisters, Meta (Melvin) Scott, Aiken, Ann Hankins, Dayton, Ohio, Clarissa Wilkinson, Los Angeles, Calif., Minnie (Curtis) Bing, Hollis, N.Y., Louisiana (Rudy) Modster, Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, George Myer, Washington, D.C., Archie (Bernice) Myer, Atlanta; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. Williams Funeral Home, 1765 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
