WRENS, Ga. - Mr. Billy James, 62, of Lamar Street, Wrens, Ga. entered into rest Feb. 22, 2002, at Doctor Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie James; father, Raley James; sister, Margaret J. McNair; brother, Roy James. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Wrens Baptist Church with the Revs. Race Lariscy, Roy White, Dr. Julian West officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Horeb Baptist church cemetery. He was a carpenter at Fort Gordon and a member of Wrens Baptist Church. He was best known as the "Funnel Cake Man". Survivors include his daughter, Sharon McVay, Evans, Ga.; two brothers, Calvin James, Matthews, and Ray James, Wrens; three grandchildren, Katie McVay, Jamie McVay, David McVay, and a very Special Friend, Carolyn Cowart, Wrens.
