MATTHEWS, Ga. - Mr. Luther Monroe Arrington, 84, of Campground Road entered into rest Friday, February 15, 2002, at the Burke County Medical Center. Funeral services will be Sunday, February 17, 2002, at 2 p.m. at James Funeral Home in the chapel with the Rev. Terry Addis and Rev. James Shope officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Of God Cemetery, Matthews. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 16, 2002, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home. Friends may also call or visit at the home of Mr. Julian Arrington at 2493 Noah Station Road Matthews, GA 30833. Mr. Luther Arrington was a member of the Wrens Church Of God, he was a retired foreman from the Georgia Tennessee Mining and Chemical Company, also served in the U.S. Army in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Dennie Arrington, Matthews; and a brother, Earl N. Arrington, Thomson; a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Arrington is preceded in death by his parents Alfred M. and Sallie Arrington. Pallbearers will be his nephews.
