WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mr. Audrey Warren "Hoss" Daniel Sr., 75, of Legion Drive, entered into rest Thursday, February 14, 2002, at University Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2002, at Botsford Baptist Church, Waynesboro, with the Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating. Mr. Daniel, a native and lifelong resident of Burke County was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Cuban Crisis. He retired as a 1st Sgt. after 20 years of service in the Army and Georgia National Guard. His decorations include the American Theater Campaign Ribbon, the Asian Pacific Overseas Service Campaign Ribbon, the Army Occupation Ribbon and the Victory Ribbon. He later retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member Botsford Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Katherine Meeker Daniel, Waynesboro; two daughters, Carole D. Fallon, Panama City Beach, Fla., Arlene C. Daniel, Augusta; one son, Audrey Warren "Hoss" Daniel Jr., Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Jessica Daniel, Roswell; Adam Daniel, Roswell, Austin Daniel, Waynesboro. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Botsford Baptist Church, 825 Botsford Church Road, Waynesboro, Ga. 30830. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at DeLoach Funeral Home, 842 Liberty Street, Waynesboro, Ga.
