HEPHZIBAH, GA - Entered into the loving arms of God on Sunday, February 10, at his residence, Mr. Lester Burdell "L.B." Andrews, 58, of McCombs Road, loving husband of Mrs. Ann Andrews. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Burdell (Wendy) Andrews, Martinez, Allan Ridgeway, Jr., Anderson, S.C., Brian J. Brown and his fiance, Dawn Savino, Jacksonville, Fla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda Andrews (Mark) West, Evans, Karen Andrews (Kenneth) Nunnelley, Dallas, Ga., Mary-Katherine Andrews (Jacques) Lee, Augusta, Patricia J. Williamson, Augusta; brothers, Claude T. (Lynda) Andrews, Augusta; sister-in-law, Veronis B. Andrews; as well as 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Starling-Hatcher Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mike Andrews and Rev. Joe Woods officiating. Interment will follow Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Andrews was a native of Augusta and had retired from International Paper as a chemical handler after 29 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a lover of animals and a very humorous person who was a friend to everyone he met. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Friends may call at the residence and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Starling- Hatcher Funeral Home on Tuesday evening.
