BARNWELL, S.C. - Sandra DeCarpic Ray, 54, wife of Timothy Cope Ray Sr., died Sunday in the Palmetto Baptist Medical Center of Columbia, S.C. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. John Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Mole Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Mrs. Ray was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter of Thomas J. and Anna Marie Hauser deCarpio. She was a teachers aide at Jefferson Davis Academy of Blackville, S.C., and part time employee of the Barnwell County Sheriffs Office. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Timothy C. Ray Sr. of Barnwell; parents of Swanea S.C.; son and daughter in law, Timothy C. (Cynthia) Ray Jr. of Barnwell; daughters and son in law, Deborah R. Bolen of Marthasville, Mo., Tracey R. (B.J.) Baxley of Barnwell; brother, Thomas P. DeCarpio of Columbia; five grandchildren, Alexandra Bolen, Andrew Ray, Benjamin Ray, Christopher Ray and Josie Ray.
