NOTE: All the listed events are open to the public, although membership in some organizations may be required.

TODAY: Georgia Wildlife Federation's annual Fisharama concludes at Georgia National Fairgrounds, Perry, Ga., Exit 135 off Interstate 75. Call (770) 787-7887 for information.

WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY: Fly tying classes will be taught by Alex Williams at Rivers & Glen in Augusta. Cost is $55 per session. Call 738-4536 for information.

SATURDAY, FEB. 21 and FEB. 26: A flyfishing school emphasizing bream and panfish will be held at Rivers & Glen. The cost is $125. Classes will be repeated March 2-3. Call 738-4536 for information.

FEB. 19: A presentation by Carol Jackson on bats will be part of the Sierra Club's 7:30 p.m. meeting at the Unitarian Church, Walton Way Extension. The public is invited. Call 863-2324 for information.

FEB. 23: Anglers Paradise Bass Tournament will be held from Hawe Creek in McCormick, S.C. Prizes include cash awards and a Ranger boat. Call (800) 544-8912 for information.

MARCH 7-9: The 15th annual Wild Quail Management Seminar will be held at the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources' Webb Wildlife Center in Hampton County. Registration is $75 and includes meals and lodging. Call (803) 734-4306.

MARCH 13, MARCH 16: Perry Houck and John Thompson will offer a flyfishing class from 6-8 p.m. March 13 and 9 a.m. to noon March 16 at Augusta State. The $49 cost includes rods and gear. Call 737-1636 to register.

MARCH 16: A hike into Tallulah Gorge organized by the Sierra Club's Savannah River Chapter will require that participants be used to physical exercise. Call 869-8770 for information.

MARCH 23: A free class on saltwater flyfishing for redfish and cobia will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon at Rivers & Glen in Augusta. The instructor will be David Murray of Beaufort, S.C. Call 738-4536.

April 6: A Striped Bass Tournament benefiting Georgia DNR will be held by the Clarks Hill Striper Club. Non-members and new anglers are welcome. Call 541-1669 for information.

THE FORT GORDON Sportsman's Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. Membership is open to the public. The shooting range (7A) will be open to the public for firing and zeroing in rifles. A 3-D archery range also is available. The cost is $6 per person ($3 to club members).
