Edgefield, S.C. - Mrs. Mable L. Harwell, 84, of Garrett Road, wife of the late Edward Vernon Harwell, entered into rest Thursday, February 7, 2002, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 11, 2002, at 11 a.m., from Grace United Methodist Church with Dr. James Adams and Rev. Kristen Richardson officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m., in Evergreen Cemetery, Charlotte, N.C. Mrs. Harwell was a native of Charlotte, N.C. and had lived in Edgefield, since 1993. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Stillwell Bible Class, M.E.T.T.S and the Nancy Smith Circle. Her family remembers her as an elegant lady who embraced each day with joy and thanksgiving. Mrs. Harwell was preceded in death by a son Edward V. Harwell, Jr. Additional survivors include three daughters, Gail Johnson of Aiken, Sharon Rogers of Charlotte, N.C. and Cynthia Kroes of Edgefield; seven grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 639 Georgia Avenue, North Augusta, SC 29841.
