MACON, Ga. - Florence Vansant, 87, of Macon, died Thursday, February 7, 2002. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2002, at the chapel of Harts Mortuary. The family may be contacted at 132 Princeton Drive, the residence of Mr. and Mrs. David K. Vansant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 2230 Walton Way, Augusta, Ga. 30904. Mrs. Vansant, born in Wilmington, Delaware, lived in Augusta since 1951. She moved to John Wesley Villas in 2001. While in Augusta, she was active at the Church of the Good Shepherd where she operated the church bookstore, served on the alter guild, and taught Sunday School. She was the widow of William Francis Vansant. Mrs. Vansant is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, F. Gail and Robert M. Derderian of Wellesley, MA.; son and daughter-in-law, David K. and Shirley Coleman Vansant of Macon; five grandchildren, John Derderian of Wellesley, MA., Richard Derderian of Singapore, Laura Goodman of Pinehurst, N.C., Jennifer V. Smith of Atlanta, and Donovan K. Vansant of Atlanta; and five great grandchildren, Samantha Derderian and Michael Derderian, both of Wellesley, MA., Nicholas Derderian and Mitchell Derderian, both of Singapore, and Catherine Goodman of Pinehurst, N.C. Harts Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
