Star of the game: Lynx goalie Zac Bierk picked up his first ECHL shutout, recording 33 saves.

Key play: With the Lynx leading 1-0 with 8:31 left in the game, Bierk made an initial save on a shot by Steve Rymsha on a 2-on-1 rush Grrrowl rush. The puck trickled behind Bierk, but the Lynx defenders came to the rescue to corral the rebound and preserve the shutout.

Plus: Wes Mason scored his 16th goal of the year on a power-play at 4:18 of the second, giving the Lynx the lead for good.

Plus: The Lynx spent half the second period on the penalty kill but got the job done, including the thwarting of a pair of Grrrowl two-man advantages.
