INGLEWOOD, Calif. - Entered into rest Friday, February 1, 2002, at Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital, Inglewood, Calif., Mrs. Willie Bell McGruder Johnson,79, native of Columbia County, Georgia. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 9, 2002, at 1 p.m. from Rehoboth Baptist Church, Appling, with Reverend Jesse W. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening, Friday, February 8, 2002, from 5 until 7 p.m. Mrs. McGruder-Johnson was a member of Unity Baptist Church, Los Angeles, Calif. where she faithfully served on the Mothers Board. Survivors are five daughters, Georgia R. (Roland) Smith, Lake Elisone, Calif., Betty McGruder, Inglewood, Calif., Juanita (Beverly) Johnson, Temecula, Calif., Ruthie Mae (Henry) Williams, Harlem, and Fannie Mae Burns, Appling; five sons, Charles McGruder, Augusta, Willie J. McGruder, Lewiston, Pa., Dolphus McGruder, California, and John T. (Hattie) McGruder, Savannah, and Robert Harris, Lincolnton; two sisters, Annie L. Williams, Augusta and Rosie L. Reid, Martinez; grandchildren, Thomas (Quana), Barbara, Carl, Charles, Alexander, Debera, Anita and Stanley; 12 great-grandchildren, including, Tosh and Quyoshi; one aunt, Mary DAntignac; two brothers-in- law; six sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
