WARRENTON, Ga. - Rev. Francis was a native of Quincy, Fla. (Gadsten County) Fla. He was a retired teacher, minister, funeral director and entrepreneur. He graduated from Florida A & M College in 1938. Rev. Francis taught agriculture, science and math for over 40 years in Florida and Georgia schools. He was the husband of the late Mary Elizabeth Dixon-Francis. Survivors include a daughter, Ethel Francis-Callaway, Atlanta; a son, Donald (Sonya) F. Francis, Augusta; grandsons, Robert Calloway, Atlanta, Donald Francis II, and Darius Francis, Augusta; granddaughters, Ashley Francis and Shontell Francis, Augusta; a brother, Edward Lorenzo Francis, Florida; a sister-in-law, Ruby Gilliam Francis, Florida; and several great-grandchildren. The service will be Saturday, February 9, 2002, at 2 p.m., at Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church, 501 Norwood Street, Warrenton, Ga.
