AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Virginia Dare Collins, 98, of Forsthe Street entered into rest on Monday, February 4, 2002, at the University Hospital. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2002, at 1:30 p.m., at The Edden Baptist Church Cemetery, Louisville. The funeral processional will leave Peoples Funeral Home at 12 noon. She was a member of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of which Rev. Thomas Walker is pastor. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John (Miflin Backey) Williams. Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Christine Taylor Monroe of Augusta; Mrs. Ophelia Sanders, Mrs. Miflin Ewing of New York City and Mrs. Fannie B. Davis of Detroit, Mich.; one brother, Mr. Sidney Williams of Newark, N.J.; nine nieces; a host of cousins and sorrowing friends. Peoples Funeral Home, 724-1885.
