ALLENDALE, Ga. - Mr. Thomas J. Keller Sr., husband of the late Martha Stewart Keller, died Thursday morning in the Allendale County Hospital after an extended illness. He was 93. Mr. Keller was born in Calhoun County September 29, 1908, a son of the late William Adam Keller, and Eleanor Wolf Keller. He was a graduate of Wofford College, and received his Masters Degree from USC. He served as superintendant of the Allendale County Public School System for 14 years. Mr. Keller was also the former owner and operator of both the Lobster House, and The Allendale Motor Court. He was a Mason, and was also a member of the Swallow Savannah United Methodist Church, where he was a steward and treasurer. Survivors include two sons, Thomas J. Keller Jr. of Edisto Beach, and John S. Keller of Leesville; one daughter, Martha K. Russell of Allendale. There are five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in the Swallow Savannah United Methodist Church, with burial following in the Swallow Savannah Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Smith-Rhoden Funeral Home of Allendale is in charge of arrangements.
