EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Entered into rest on Wednesday, January 23, 2002, Mr. Paul Ercell Boswell, husband of Mrs. Dawn Surface Boswell, of 61 Jones Road. He was the father of Paula B. Jones of Belvedere, Paul "Rick" Boswell of Ridge Spring, S.C., Robert E. Boswell of Bath and Ronald "Ron" W. Boswell of Helena, Mo.; the brother of Anita Boswell Stutler of White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. and Pegge E. Boswell of Clearwater. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Boswell retired as a life underwriter for Life of Virginia with 37 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II with a number of service medals. He was a member of One Way Baptist Church, Augusta, Ga. He was a mason with the Alleghaney Lodge # 136, White Sulphur Springs, W.V., a 14 degree Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, S.J. USA Aiken, a 32 degree Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, S.J. USA Columbia, a charter member of the Jamil Temple, Columbia, S.C., a life member of the L. Mendel Rivers DAV Chapter, a member of the Jesse C. Lynch American Legion Post # 71, a member of the DAV North Augusta Lodge # 44 and a member of the V.F.W. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m., in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie West officiating. Burial with military honors and Masonic Rites at Sunset Gardens, Johnston, S.C. Active pallbearers will be Rod Jones, Kirk Boswell, Sean Stutler, Troy Stutler, Kenneth Woodward and John Morris. Friends may call at the residence or on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Hatcher Funeral Home, US Hwy. #1, Langley, S.C.
