HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mrs. Frances Grinnell "Nell" Burdick, 87, of Hephzibah-McBean Road, entered into rest Monday, January 21, 2002, at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the DeLoach Funeral Home, Hephzibah Chapel today, January 24 with the Rev. Bob Pate officiating. Entombment services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, Ocala, Florida with Rev. Lloyd Boldt officiating. Mrs. Burdick was a native of Evans County, Georgia by had lived in Richmond County since 1987. She was a homemaker, a nurses aide and had managed a dry cleaning business. She was a member of the Baton Chapel United Methodist Church and the Methodist Senior Citizens. Survivors include two sisters, Carolyn Kearse, Atlanta and Katie Carpenter, Hephzibah; one brother, Bill Lightsey, St. Augustine, Fla.; and a brother-in-law, J.A. Johnson Jr., West Columbia, S.C.
