AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest January 3, 2002, at St. Joseph Hospital, Mr. Charles J. "Red" Trommerhauser, of Augusta, husband of the late Mrs. Helen Elkins Trommerhauser. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2002, at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Trommerhauser Landis and son-in-law, Jeffrey A. Landis; one brother, Bill Trommerhauser all of Augusta. A native of Augusta, Mr. Trommerhauser had worked for 45 years for the C & WC, AC, SCL and CSX Railroads. He was a World War II Army veteran and served in the 82 nd Airborne Division. He was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and Post 3200 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday.
