MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest Thursday, January 3, 2002, at University Hospital, Augusta, Retired Sergeant First Class Ronald Chadwick Couch, 60, of Creekview Court, Martinez, husband of Mrs. Alice M. Gipson Couch. Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2002, at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church with the Revs. Pierce Norman and Nicole Sims officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Couch, a native of the town of Tonawanda, New York, was retired Army and a Civil Service, facility manager. He was the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service, Vietnam Service, Air Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Bronze Star and Expert Rifle Medal. He was a member of the Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, were he served as Minister of Youth, and was a member of the Choir. Additional survivors include three sons, N. Todd Schneider, Atlanta, Randy Malone, Huntsville, Ala., Rodney Couch, Gadsden, Ala..; one daughter, Chandra Bates, Gadsden, Ala.; two brothers, Frank Couch, Gadsden, Ala., and James E. Couch, Tucker, Ga.; two sisters, Pat Head, Birmingham, Ala., and Brenda Willmore, Albertville, Ala.; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Military. Honorary pallbearers will be the Lewis Memorial United Methodist Youth. Memorials may be made to Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund, 5555 Hereford Farm Road, Evans, GA 30809. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., at Starling Funeral Home, Hwy 78, Harlem, Ga.
