GREENSBORO, Ga. - Mr. John Berry Webb Sr., age 83, of Veazy Road, entered into rest December 30, 2001. Mr. Webb, a native of Greene County, was the son of the late Preston Calhoun and Ethel Drake Webb; the husband of the late Ann Johnson Webb and later the husband of the late Ruby Poole Webb. He retired self-employed as the owner of Webb Logging Company. Mr. Webb was a United States Army veteran of WWII, and a member of Liberty Methodist Church, Greensboro. He was a loving husband and a loving father to all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Webb Johnson, Greensboro; four sons, John "Johnny" B. Webb Jr., Steve Webb, Mike Webb, P.C. Webb, all of Greensboro; two sisters, Dorothy Smith, Esther Edwards, Greensboro; one brother, Earnest Webb, Gray; four grandchildren, Tammy Schroder, Brandi Webb, Allen Webb, J.B. Webb III; four great-grandchildren, Donovan Schroder, Jacob Schroder, Aly Webb, Ty Webb. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2002, at Liberty Methodist Church, Greensboro with Rev. Wayne Usry and Rev. Gary Nichols officiating. Burial in Liberty Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Brian Leach, Jeff Smith, Bobby Davis, Ben Lanier, Rhett Hayman. Visitation will be tonight, January 1, 2002 from 6 to 9. The family will be at the residence, 3670 Veazey Road, Greensboro. Callaway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
