Regarding Augusta Administrator George Kolb's call for a tax increase.
Someone needs to remind him that there are senior citizens who live on a fixed income and whenever they get a cost of living raise, Medicare goes up. Therefore, they stay at barely making it. If our home taxes go up we, too, will be in the soup line.
Why raise taxes when the city buses don't even run on weekends? I agree with Commissioner Marion Williams. Please look at this a little longer. Senior citizens are the ones staying in Augusta. The young folks are moving out.
